FCSS Youth Program
FCSS Youth Operates under the Barrhead & District Family and Community Support Services Society and provides youth‐focused preventative services and programs as mandated by the Alberta Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) Act and Regulation.
FCSS Youth plans programming on-site at FCSS and at various locations throughout the community. We also partner with the Family Resource Networks and our Community Youth budget to provide a comprehensive list of programming opportunities.
Programs include leadership sessions, educational events, volunteer opportunities, prevention programs, parenting tips, connecting and engagement activities, and general fun! Courses include Red Cross Babysitting, Home Alone / Stay Safe, and First Aid/CPR and Rainbows.
FCSS Youth also plans activities and events in the community such as sports nights – volleyball, dodgeball, badminton, frisbee games, and other recreational activities or fundraisers.
Assistance with the Community CARE Program and Tools for Schools can be accessed through the Youth Coordinator.
